Release 18.00 of HOOPS/3dAF includes a number of new features, enhancements and interface changes. This document identifies key areas that may affect your upgrade process. In addition to the topics highlighted, individual release notes are available for components of the application framework like HOOPS/3dGS, HOOPS/MVO and HOOPS/Stream.
The DX9 driver now requires the DirectX 9.0c Runtime version 9.26.1590 distributed on March 2009 or a later version of DirectX 9 installed on your system.
Fortran is no longer supported in this release.
The HOOPS/Net module is no longer supported or included in the HOOPS 18 installation package.
We have upgraded our support for a number of 3rd Party integrations. Some of these changes mean that certain HIO modules will no longer be supported on some platforms. We are no longer supporting the HOOPS JT Open HIO component. It is no longer included in the HOOPS 18 installation package.
We are no longer supporting the legacy DGNdirect libraries (version 0.966 Beta) in the HOOPS DGN Integration. It is no longer included in the HOOPS 18 installation package.
